4th Annual Hula Hoop Contest and Tween Party at Torly Kid
Torly Kid, New York's hippest kids' clothing store, is set to host their most anticipated event of the year, the 4th Annual Tween Party and Hula Hoop Contest, Saturday, May 12.
What started as a simple hula-hoop contest has grown into an annual event that tweens can’t wait for. Kids ages 7 and up will enjoy a variety of activities and giveaways, along with other tween party surprises.
Known for their downtown New York City flair, Torly Kid works to bring style and fun to growing kids. The kids' clothing store will kick off their tween event at 11 a.m. with a reading and book signing of Fairest of All, part of the "Whatever After" series by Sarah Mlynowski, the author of the "Magic in Manhattan" series. Throughout the day, kids will have the opportunity to personalize their own gear with airbrush designs by artist Mike Barile. Designs start at $6, and Torly Kid will provide kids with a free neon canvas bag or their choice of other items for purchase.
At noon, kids will take part in the hula-hoop and jump-rope contest, showing off their Double Dutch and hip-shaking talents! The winners will receive special prizes for their unique skills. From 1 to 3 p.m., girls can be girls with free French braiding and a choice of cool nail art design manicures for only $3.
The fun doesn’t stop there, because this kids' clothing store will also be giving away delectable cupcakes from Tribeca Treats, and raffling off great prizes every hour.
Grab a friend or two and come to Torly Kid for a day of creativity, fun, and hula hoop madness!
