ADHD Exercises at UES' LearningRx Helps Kids' Focus & Memory

Although it is the most commonly diagnosed behavioral disorder in children, the causes of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are still unknown. However, one thing that is certain is that ADHD can be diagnosed in the early stages of life and brain development.Studies have been able to show a clear difference between the brain of a child with ADHD and one without.

ADHD is defined as a problem with inattentiveness, over-activity, impulsivity or a combination of all three. Treating this disorder is a collaborative process, between the doctor, parents and their child.

For parents, sending a child to school with ADHD can be overwhelming. The last thing a parent wants is their child not to fit in.  Boys are typically diagnosed more frequently than girls but that is because boys tend to act out in class more than girls.  Girls tend to be quite when they're not attending, not disruptive.

LearningRx has an effective alternative to help both students with ADHD and their parents. Through their multi-skill exercises, LearningRx has been able to help strengthen attention and memory skills, while developing proper listening techniques. Students in the program have also shown improvement in processing and an enhancement in reasoning.
