    Even just a few years ago, it would have been unheard of to have a local dance studio giving weekly classes to over one hundred boys! In 2011, with the influence of Billy Elliot, So You Think You Can Dance and dancing rock stars like Usher and the Justins (Timberlake AND Bieber!), this is exactly the case at TriBeCa's Downtown Dance Factory.

    While boys are welcome in all their classes, Downtown Dance Factory's special boys’ program is a real “boys club”! These extremely popular classes are designed to get more boys dancing in an environment where they feel comfortable and can have fun. Taught by an energetic hip hop instructor, these boys classes are an introduction to the world of b-boys and street-based hip hop dance culture. Freezes, footwork, freestyling... Breaking, b-boying, busting a move – these boys rock!
