Brooklyn Summer Camp at Williamsburg Northside School
When the school year ends, summer camp can be the vital foundation for continuing a child's learning and socialization in the summer months. In their Brooklyn summer camp program, Williamsburg Northside School strives to enrich children through educational and exciting activities designed to encourage individuality and enthusiasm with their Reggio Emilia approach.
Families can expect children to enjoy a summer full of exploration, creativity and discovery with Williamsburg Northside School's summer programs. The school's Brooklyn summer camp runs between early July through the middle of August, with programs tailored for young children aged 2 years old, and for older children aged 2 – 6.
2 Year Old Camp
Thursday, July 5th – Wednesday, August 15th
This half day summer camp program runs from 8:30 to 11 in the morning and is divided into three themed sessions that will challenge and delight young learners as they transition into a new educational setting. In the first session, Sunshine, curious children learn about the properties of the light that shine on them each and every day. Session 2, Puddles, and session 3, Mud, have a geological focus as children explore and enjoy activities that teach them about the earth they live on. Children will spend their days spent engaging in fantastic arts and crafts activities.
2 -6 Years Old
Thursday, July 5th – Wednesday, August 15th
Williamsburg Northside School offers families with older children the option to choose between Full Day camp between 8:30 am – 3:00 pm and Afterschool between 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm. This Brooklyn summer camp program is divided into three themed sessions that help children to explore and engage the natural world that surrounds them. The first session, Out of the Dark, inspires campers to think creatively about the sun and the light provided by it. Under the Sea, the second session, encourages children to reach new depths in their knowledge of the ocean. The final session, Into the Woods, brings the wonder of the woods and forest to the minds of Williamsburg Northside campers.
From local field trips and exploration to art, drama, music, and science classes, campers will find joy and enrichment in learning about the world that surrounds them with peers. Williamsburg Northside School's excellent educators, skilled in the Reggio Emilia educational approach, will guide campers along on their educational journey this summer.
