Engage Green

Engage Green was born in 2007 as an Art project to inspire and empower individuals to make better consumer choices with positive environmental outcomes.

Engage Green is known for their unique fashionable designs made out of recycled plastic (PET), recycled paper and sustainable materials like organic cotton, hemp and cork.

Engage Green aims to create beautiful, functional and fashionable bags that customers will be proud to use and happy to own. - We designed products that were the same or better quality than what was being offered by established brand names - yet, we designed these products with what would normally be considered waste... recycling paper and plastic bottles into durable, fashionable goods - thereby proving that beauty arises from imagination about what could be, not what is, turning waste into luxury. Their line of products include Totes, Travel Totes, Backpacks, Satchels, Messenger bags, Wristlets and others...

Located in the Brooklyn Navy Yards, Engage Green believes that using sustainable materials and recycling are effective ways to conserve our resources, minimize waste and protect the environment. They turn consumerism into something positive by engaging what they call The Green Cycle – choosing the right material, creating a functional design and engaging environmentally conscious consumers.   Leonor Mendoza, founder and artist, inspires her team, which consists of people from around the world, including the United States, Taiwan, Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia and Iran, to stand united in their strong beliefs about environmentalism. She is an award winning artist whose work is part of the Art Museum of the Americas permanent collection in Washington DC. Her sculptures, also made from recycled materials, have been featured in shows around the world. Dozens of private collectors have commissioned her pieces.
