About The Fashion Class

    The Fashion Class began in 2009 as a summer camp in Brooklyn, NYC. Today The Fashion Class operates in six locations throughout NYC, Brooklyn, Long Island, and upstate New York.

    We offer classes for children ages 6-13 and teenagers ages 13-18 in the areas of fashion design, sewing, and accessory design. Our courses run for 10 weeks throughout the school year, with after-school and weekend class options.

    The Fashion Class stu­dents take home what they’ve made through­out the course and all supplies are included! Plus, each class ends with a free fashion show for family and friends.

    Our students learn how to sew and draw fashion by actually working on projects. They learn how to conceptualize clothing and make it come to life, either on paper or with the sewing machine.

    We have excellent instructors who currently work in the industry as apparel, costume, and accessory designers, as well as fashion illustrators whose clients range from Sesame Street to Target!
