We are the NEW Italian School of New York City, bringing over 40 years of experience directly from Italy! We offer a variety of group, private, specialized, and conversational Italian courses. Lessons are fun and interesting and adapted to the level of Italian of the student. Total personalized courses provide a particular, intensive, and unforgettable approach to the Italian Language. And most importantly, we are very flexible to accomadate your schedule!

  Our teaching method is modern, entertaining, and very effective. We promote classroom interaction, and we develop students to speak and interact comfortably with the language. Our school is not limited to just classroom grammar, but fully utilizes conversation, reading, and writing skills. Students are fully immersed in the language and the learning experience process. We hold our teachers and our staff to the highest degree of professionalism, and all of our teachers are native Italians, holding degrees from Italian Universities. Our class size is limited to 10 people, allowing students to learn the material more effectively and efficently.   We are the only active school in New York City, authorized by the Universita' per Stranieri di Siena, to prepare and train teachers for the instruction of the Italian language, as well as the only Authorized Italian School to release the DITALS Certificate, both 1st and 2nd level in the tri-state area.   Being a LINY student is not just sitting in a classroom lecture. It is being a part of a larger community famiglia! Upon registration, students are eligible for discounts at all of our partnered businesses, as well as able to participate in cultural events, dinners, workshops and extracirricular activities at special LINY prices. Starting in the Fall of 2011, we are proud to announce the addition of extracirricular courses, including Italian&Wine tastings, and Italian music, acting and cinema. We are always open to suggestions for new and interesting types of courses that you would like to see offered!   We are even able to offer our courses outside of the traditional classroom setting at any of our other Learn Italy points in the city! Or if you'd like, we are more than willingto teach lessons at your office, or even the neighborhood Starbucks! Wherever you are most comfortable, we are willing to bring our knowledge to you. The high quality and standards we hold ourselves to is the same if you are in a traditional classroom or in one of our other course locations.   Currently, we have two convenient locations in Manhattan, both easily accessible by public transit and by personal vehicles. Our main school is located in Midtown, on 37th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues, and is conveniently accessed by Penn Station and the Times Square subway stations. We also have a location on the Upper West Side,located at 100th Street and Broadway, right off the 1,2,3 train. In addition, we are also opening a location in northern New Jersey, in Bergen County in the Fall of 2011. Stay tuned for more details about our New Jersey location!
