The past two weeks have been challenging for New York & New Jersey residents, to say the least. In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, we sincerely hope that families and businesses are safe and progressively rebounding from the effects of the storm.
Chelsea Piers has suffered significant damage due to harsh weather and high winds brough about by Hurricane Sandy. However, as of Tuesday, October 30, repairs have been made and cleaning efforts are under way to get Chelsea Piers back up and running.
This week, we are pleased to report that Chelsea Piers is estimated to reopen most--if not all--of our sports facilities on Saturday, December 1st. This includes both the Chelsea Piers Field House and Sports Center.
Our hope is to resume normal programs, sports events and activities by this date. Should this timetable change, new and up-to-date information will be posted on the Chelsea Piers website.
Our incredibly dedicated and talented team of employees are working dilligently to ensure that Chelsea Piers will continue to be an asset to the NYC community, and we appreaciate the around-the-clock work being done to restore our facilities as soon as possible.
