Free Acupuncture at the Houston Street Center in NYC
The Houston Street Center, University Settlement is now offering FREE acupuncture to help reduce the stress that was brought about by Hurricane Sandy.
Free acupuncture and massage therapy will be available every Tuesday and will be administered by CREEW, at the community center.
To help with the hurricane relief efforts, the Houston Street Center is committed to being a resource to the community and has provided a spacious state-of-the-art facility for many groups whose space has been lost or damaged due to the super storm.
By offering free acupuncture, the Houston Street Center also builds on much of the efforts afforded to those in the midst of the hurricane's aftermath by serving as a heating center for those without heat and a place to shower.
Additionally, the Houston Street Center University Settlement will also continue to be a hub for Project Hope, which is a new initiative that provides crisis counselors in the field to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
