It’s hard to believe, but none of the prescriptions for over the counter head lice shampoos help! You can use them for years but you’ll never get rid of head lice with them. Having over 20 years of experience removing lice from the heads of children, I and the team of LiceBGoners would certainly know.
The first thing you must know is that these shampoos are toxic. Even if they did work, I wouldn’t suggest taking harmful risks to your child’s health. Here's why they don’t work: lice are very resilient little creatures and they have become resistant to these head lice shampoos. Therefore, although many of the lice do get killed, too many of them do not. Even if one louse is left alive, you still have lice, as one louse can lay 250 eggs in a single month! That’s all it takes for them to repopulate, and then you have another lice infestation on your hands.
The baby nymphs (louse) are in a very well protected egg (nit). No head lice shampoos in the world can kill those nits. If you shampoo with those agents, they do not kill the unborn lice that are about to hatch. That’s why these head lice shampoos tell you to use the shampoo again in another ten days. However, by the time you have waited those next ten days, another cycle of hatching and laying more nits has begun. Now you’re back to square one again!
Beware. We had a little girl here at LiceBGoners who lost all her hair because she used these shampoos before coming to us for our natural lice removal service. Visit LiceBGoners for the effective and safe solution for getting rid of pesky head lice.
