Help Raise Money For Madison Square Park

The Madison Square Park Conservancy is turning ten years hold and Kew Management is matching, dollar for dollar, every donation made by its tenants.  As a supporter of this year’s summer music festival and a long time supporter of the park, Kew hopes to make its tenants and others in the area aware that the park need our help greatly in this present economy.

Most people think that city agencies cover the cost of maintaining the park, but in truth they provide only a small part of the necessary funds.  The vast majority of the Conservancy’s funds come from private donations by individuals and corporations in the NoMad, Flatiron, Chelsea and Gramercy neighborhoods.

In a time of increasing expenses and reductions in giving, everyone’s help is needed to maintain the park and support its current programs.  We sometimes forget that it takes a great deal to pay for:

    • Park administration, maintenance and security
    • Plantings and care of the lush trees and seasonal horticulture
    • Maintenance of benches, café tables and chairs, playground, dog run and other park amenities
    • And it takes even more to make it a vibrant center of NYC life offering award-winning art, music, food, reading and children’s programming

It’s easy for anyone to make a donation.  Just click on this link. http://www.madisonsquarepark.org/about-the-park/donate
