Join Brooklyn Boulders in Support of Men's Cancer Research

Whether you choose a handlebar, Fu Manchu, Tom Selleck or figure out how to grow your upper lip hair to spell “moustache” in cursive, it’s time for the men of New York to unleash their facial hair for a good cause.

Brooklyn Boulders, one of the largest dedicated rock climbing gyms on the East Coast, is creating a team for Movember. The annual month-long event encourages men to grow moustaches to raise money and awareness for men’s health, especially prostate cancer and other men’s cancers.

Participants begin the month of November with clean-shaven faces and spend the next 30 days allowing their moustaches to grow while spreading word of their cause. Funds go to programs run by Movember and the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LiveStrong.

Brooklyn Boulders supports the health of men and women every day of the year with over 20,000 square feet of bouldering and climbing walls. Brooklyn Boulders also offers classes to help visitors become more skilled and find more enjoyment in climbing. In addition to classes on lead climbing and belaying, Brooklyn Boulders also has slackline and yoga classes.
