Max Delivery Performs Inaugural CSA Farm Share Delivery
Max Delivery delivered the first of its summer-long program of Community Supported Agriculture farm shares. Busy New Yorkers can finally get locally grown, organic produce, grown by farmers that they can meet and talk to. And, best of all, they can have those veggies delivered in minutes right to their door each week.
No waiting around at a local pickup spot and lugging back a 20 lb box of local produce. Max Delivery customers are just alerted when the produce arrives from the farmer and can have it delivered to their door minutes later, all with the click of a mouse!
Mother Nature helped to showcase the incredible value of the service on the inaugural deliveries, thanks to a cold early-summer downpour.
Said one customer, "Just wanted to say thank you for all your help in making CSA for Wellness such a success- our inaugural delivery seems to have gone very smoothly. I received my produce box a few hours ago along with many other grocery items I could not go out and get on a rainy day like today. And we have a lot of very happy customers! "
Max Delivery looks forward to the continued success of the program and hopes to greatly expand it in the coming years. According to Chris Siragusa, the President of Max Delivery "we wanted to find a way to use our service to encourage local CSA's to flourish and to help our customer's get the best produce they can. Like our Best of New York section, we love helping fellow small businesses to give people choices vs the large chains that are starting to dominate even in Manhattan."
The CSA program is scheduled to run through the summer and into the fall of 2012.
