Stand-up comedy must be in the genes, because infamous comedian Jackie Mason passed down his talents to his daughter Sheba Mason. Her sardonic humor is reminiscent of Jackie Mason’s, picking up on the comedian’s impeccable timing. Sheba has truly made a name for herself with her off-Broadway musical-comedy 702 Punchlines and Pregnant.
Midtown’s Broadway Comedy Club is proud to present this innovative comedy performance. The musical-comedy introduces audiences to Jackie Mason’s decade long love affair with Sheba’s mother, playwright Ginger Reiter. Twenty-six years later Jackie Mason still hasn't owned up to his paternity or embraced Sheba as his daughter. “When he sees me in the street, he actually recognizes me," Sheba says of her father. "I know he recognizes me because he runs the other direction.”
A successful stand-up comedian herself, Sheba has taken her short-comings in life and turned them into a hysterical comedic production at the Midtown comedy club. The show features a full cast and fun songs, including “Truth in Jest” and “I Never Met This Yenta.” Sheba stars in the comedy show as her mother alongside actor Bobbie Underwood playing her father.
Come check out 702 Punchlines and Pregnant at Midtown’s Broadway Comedy Club on Sunday, March 24th at 3 pm. Visit the website for additional dates and show times.
