There are many haunted house experiences you can choose from in Manhattan. But there's nothing like a guided ghost tour to beat them all. Haunted houses offer cheesy, temporary thrills. With a ghost tour, you'll learn local legends and lore and emerge more knowledgable about the great city of New York. Ghosts of New York offers the "Nevermore Tour: The Ultimate Ghost Experience" will take you through the East and West Village over a three-hour period.
You'll learn about the neighborhood's secret pasts, troubled histories, and famous residents. You'll experience the highlights from our two most popular tours -- Edgar Allan Poe and High Ghostly Neighbors of Greenwich Village and Peter Stuyvesant and His Ghostly Friends of the East Village -- and other good stuff as you walk in the ghostly footsteps of Edgar Allan Poe, Peter Stuyvesant and their legions of wispy, wailing, wasted wraith friends.
And you'll see some of the city's most notoriously haunted homes, bars, churches, and public spaces. Your guide will be a local horror author, steeped in a tradition of terrifying tale-telling. Haunting stories will be expertly recounted by this highly experienced guide, combining insights from paranormal investigators and psychic "sensitives" with local legends and ghostly lore.
We will walk at a leisurely pace, however we still cover approximately 1.5 miles on this tour, so please bear that in mind when signing up and remember to wear comfortable shoes. Breaks and rest stops will be provided at regular intervals for your comfort.
