Nightlife Culture Initiative and Rakim Hit Sutra Lounge
Nightlife has its perks and with Sutra Lounge, you can indulge in your love for hip-hop music at its finest.
On Friday, April 6 at 9 p.m., Sutra Lounge will be taking part in the Nightlife Cultural Initiative Expo. This four-day musical extravaganza will touch upon the best music in nightlife culture, with a special emphasis on hip-hop.
Sutra has been the home of underground hip-hop for more than seven years, hosting world famous performers and DJs including Q-Tip, The Roots, Tony Touch, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, Jazzy Jeff, Afrika Bambaataa and many more.
Special performers include the legendary Rakim, who is known as one of the most respected names in hip-hop. Well known for his recording of the soundtrack for the 2002 American drama film Paid in Full, his album has earned its place among the ranks of golden age hip-hop. Rakim's performance on Friday is sure to be the biggest and most popular event of the weekend. DJ Rob Flow will also be mixing music at this event, so come jam to your favorite tunes with Sutra Lounge.
Doors will open at 9 p.m. and the performance is scheduled for 10 p.m.
