Recognized as one of Scotland’s national drinks, Irn-Blue is a carbonated soft drink, manufactured in Mansfield, England. The drink is known for its bright orange color and has a slight citrus flavor. Outside of high-profile brands like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Dr. Pepper, this drink is the third best-selling soft drink in the United Kingdom and one of the top at this British supermarket.

Flavored with ginger and sweetened with sugar, Ginger Beer originated in England in the mid-18th century and has gained popularity as a carbonated soft drink in the early 20th century. The original recipe consists of ginger, sugar, water, lemon juice and a ginger beer plant. After the mixture has fermented for a few days, it turns into this beloved drink.
Launched in 1936, Ribena is a fruit-based non-carbonated soft drink, carbonated soft drink, and fruit drink concentrate, commonly containing real black currant juice. Advertisements claim that nearly all of British black currants are used in Ribena and the more recent versions are actually lower in added sugars and higher in vitamin C and other antioxidants.
Probably one of the most famous drinks in England, Elderflower Cordial has a strong Victorian heritage and has been very popular in northwestern Europe. This soft drink is made primarily from a refined sugar and water solution, using the flowers of elderberry, also known as sambucus nigra. Shoppers can jazz up this famous soft drink with a bit of Prosecco (Italian sparkling wine) for an extra special taste.
An ice-cold beverage on the streets of London may be far off in the future, but British supermarket Myers of Keswick is stocked with all the beloved soft drinks right here in New York City.
