Summer Camp at Long Lake: What Parents Should Know
There is only one thing on a child’s mind when it comes to summer camp – fun! However, while children are off exploring the great outdoors and broadening their horizons at Long Lake Arts & Adventures Camp, parents are looking for some reassurance. When it comes to sending a child off to summer camp, parents need to know all of the facts.
Putting parents’ minds at ease about their fantastic summer camp program, Long Lake is laying out all the information about their Adventures Camp. The Adventures side of camp is open to both boys and girls ages 8 to 16. The goal behind the camp is to encourage team spirit and the importance of discovering the great outdoors in a safe and nurturing environment. Every day is a new and exciting challenge for campers.
While this summer camp is in up-state New York, they offer bus service coming from New York City, Westchester, Central New Jersey and Albany. When children arrive at camp they will be introduced to their fully insulated cabin, complete with an overhead sprinkler system. While the cabins are beautifully modern, they are also held to the highest safety standards.
With 43 years of experience, this summer camp is an expert at having a fun and safe summer. The camp is visited three times a year by the New York Health Department and all members of the staff are required to go through an extensive background check. While camp is all about children learning, growing and socializing with their peers, Long Lake Camp makes it a priority to provide a caring and responsive experience at all times.
Each group at the camp is monitored by a counselor, along with unit leaders. These individuals make sure that children are happy, healthy and sociable throughout camp. Of course parents will find open communication at all times with their child.
There is no doubt about the unique adventures children will enjoy at Long Lake Arts & Adventures Camp this summer -- and now parents can be reassured too.
