Engage your child’s mind this summer with the Tournament Chess Boot Camp at learning center Abundant Learning. While some children will be sitting at home bored, your child can partake in an activity that not only promotes learning but engages their attention and gives them enjoyment.
Abundant Learning is thrilled to bring their Chess Camp to elementary-aged students this summer. The chess camp will run from June 11 to June 29 and July 9 to August 3, Monday through Thursday. Friday classes are available during the first session from 4 to 6 p.m. and from 9 to 11 a.m. during the second session.
The chess course is open to a maximum of 4 children each class, for 3 and 4 week sessions with daily or almost daily intervention. Children sign up for a 3 week minimum with optional Fridays. The chess camp will include a 30-minute private lesson, homework and tournament preparation every day. Every week there will be a simultaneous exhibition, a tournament and a chess movie. During camp, children gain experience and skills to learn about and participate in tourneys. Children will learn how to write chess moves while analyzing and notating their games.
The learning center Abundant Learning is offering a 4 to 1 ratio for groups, “the best ratio of any chess camp in the US!” Tournament Chess Boot Camp is open for $250 per week.
For children looking to embrace the world of chess at their own pace, the learning center offers small group chess instruction on Thursdays at 4 p.m. for elementary-aged students. Parents can even suggest a day that works for them and the center will work to accommodate their schedules.
Give your child a unique camp experience this summer at the Tournament Chess Boot Camp at Abundant Learning.
