Two New Music Workshops From French American School of Music
Among the adult participants in our summer workshop, there were a few nervous faces. “I haven't picked up my instrument in years,” one of them explained. “I'm not really sure where to start.” He felt intimidated around the other musicians who had been in practice for years. Yet with a few classes, his fingers remembered old techniques from past rehearsals and lessons, and the music began to return to him.
We were delighted that these participants, who were initially confused and rusty from lack of practice, started to have such a great time that they registered for the regular semester in the fall. This is the kind of success story that we work towards each day when we instruct and guide students at the French American School of Music.
This summer, the French American School of Music, in an effort to foster artistic and musical expression in the community, has created two new musical workshops for the month of July for adults and children alike.
