University Settlement is Open, Community Programs Available

Since being founded in 2006, the Houston Street Center, University Settlement has continuously showed dedication and support to the New York City area, as well as throughout the communities and neighborhood in Soho. 

We understand that Hurricane Sandy has directly impacted many families, community members and businesses and the Houston Street Center, University Settlement is actively extending its reach to support New York City residents and community members through continuous weekly ongoing programs.

The Houston Street Center, University Settlement is also proud to announce that the Soho location is now open and all programs are operating according to schedule. 

Programs at the community center in NYC include:

• STRIDE After-School Program
• Swim N Kids - Swim Instruction for Children
• EXCEL Programs - For Youth and Families with Special Needs
• Senior HeART Program- For Senior Citizens
• Community Swim and Fitness
• Tuesdays with US - FREE Community Events
• Making Moves Dance Classes
• Local Color Gallery

To accomodate the needs of New Yorkers seeking relocation spaces, the Houston Street Center, University Settlement also offers high-quality, low cost meeting rooms, office rentals, conference rooms and multipurpose rooms at the Soho location.
